Update, and pile photos
Still working to complete work for Accumulation #1, which is scheduled to go up May 29, 2005, here in Venice. I'll be writing more soon, until then, here is an image from the studio and some photos of piles in Rovereto.

Hey Lou, sorry for the late look. I think
one of the items strongest about your
ideas and work is when the images or paper objects function as sculptural components
to the final works, as I have seen from past images. The drawing idea seems a
bit extraneous.
The notion of Accumulation is timely and interesting in an age where
we are
also compressing the accumulation of artifacts, both digital and physical.
Perhaps push the variety of the accumulations, not just visually but conceptually.
The photos of stacked blue are interesting. I think the image making
is and important part of the research. Seeing the portraits reminds me
of how the Industrial age is fading. Icons, such as these CEO type figures
are depleted of power, and visually they have this feeling as well. As if they
have been burned away by the sun, faded.
Shame you were turned down for the show. Keep pushing
